Ambassador visits Madeira to meet students from Free State Province

Ambassador MJ Gaoretelelwe and a team from the Embassy travelled to Madeira on 26-27 September 2017 to meet with students from the Free State Province studying at the Madeira Professional Hotel and Tourism School.

During the visit, the SA Embassy delegation comprising of Ambassador MJ Gaoretelelwe, Ms. Keledi Sambo, Ms Stella Freire and Mr Miguel Alves were invited to the official residence of the President of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, Dr. Miguel Albuquerque, where the choir of the Free State hotel students put on a fantastic performance. The delegation also had a guided tour of the Funchal Hotel School premises and was invited to a working lunch prepared by the students.

The delegation also met with officials from the Office of the Free State Premier, Ms. Charlene Rabie and Ms. Segomotso Rapulana, to discuss the student exchange programme.
