  DRIVERS LICENCE

  In order to convert your SA drivers licence (credit card format)  into a Portuguese drivers licence, you will need to apply for the  Confirmation of SA Driving Licence (official document with the South African coat of arms and a serial number) directly through the South African Department of Transport.

  Upon issuance, the Certificate should be legalized by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) in South Africa.

  Also please confirm with the Portuguese IMT which will be the appropriate and legal timeframe to exchange your licence.
