WINE OF COLOUR SOUTH AFRICA (WOCSA) HOSTED BY EMBASSY
On 01 October, the South African Embassy co-hosted an event with Wine of Colour South Africa, (WOCSA), under the theme, “From Soil to Soul: A Journey of South African Creativity and Culture”. Guests were treated to the fabulous food and wine flavours of South Africa, while being entertained by the local duo of the group, “Ninaninar”, under a clear summer evening sky.
Wine of Colour South Africa is a non-profit membership organization, committed to fostering inclusivity and economic transformation within the wine industry. WOCSA was co-founded by Ms Janine Peterson and Ms Rosey Almeida, and their mission is to support and promote Black women winemakers and entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, business development support, and access to global markets. Present at the event was Mrs. Mothupi Manana of G&M Wines, a young South African winemaker and Mr. Jerry Magale, Founder and CEO of Black Tourism Services Association. The WOCSA delegates were able to interact with a number of Portuguese business leaders in the areas of tourism, viticulture, education as well as members of the diplomatic corps.
A successful occasion for the Embassy and WOCSA , blending culture with business!
