The South African Embassy participated again in the annual Portugal Exportador 2014 which took place in the Lisbon Congress Centre in Lisbon on 19 November 2014 . Organized by AIP (Portuguese Manufacturers Association) and sponsored by Novo Banco bank, the event was widely covered by all the Portuguese economic media and was well attended by business representatives. The Embassy participated in the foreign embassies’ stand area, together with other foreign economic representatives from Africa, Latin America, Middle East, Asia and Europe.

Portugal Exportador is a unique opportunity to promote South Africa as a sophisticated and promising emerging market for trade and investment and also to strengthen existing contacts. The interaction with AIP at this event forms part of the Embassy’s strategy to promote the trade relations between the South Africa and Portugal as a stepping stone to future Portuguese investment in South Africa.
