2ND PRIZE FOR SOUTH AFRICAN DOCUMENTARY “MUSIC IS MY LIFE – JOSEPH SHABALALA” AT THE 2022 ART & TUR TOURISM FILM FESTIVAL IN OURÉM

The Embassy is pleased to announce that the South African documentary film, “Music is my Life – Joseph Shabalala”, won 2^nd prize at the 2022 Art & Tur International Tourism Film Festival that took place in the city of Ourém from 25-28 October, in the category of Music & Dance. Congratulations also go to Carolyn Carew and Free Women Films for producing this marvellous documentary.  Thank you to Carolyn for flying out to Portugal to receive the prize.  It was also a pleasure to see Caroline Ungersbock and Mike Rumble, both SA festival judges, at the event.  The Art & Tur participants also had the opportunity to embark on a South African wine experience – which included Amarula, Ceres juices and biltong - that was very well-received.   Congratulations to the Art&Tur organizing team for another great festival and a big thank you to all those who entered South African films!
